Problem: 

Warm weather and high rainfall increases the risk of high lake and river levels leading to flooding in Vernon. Outfalls into the lakes, rivers and creeks are at risk of backflow during high water levels allowing water to inundate homes, businesses and roads. 

Solution: 

One such site where backflow occurred flooding homes on a regular basis was rectified using two WaStop DN500 (NPS 20”) inline check valves. The WaStop’s where quickly installed into the existing outfall pipes and provided instant protection against backflow.
