WaStop Installation
2022-01-06Time spent on installation adds to cost. WaStop can be installed quickly and easily with minimal equipment required. Valves can be lower in purchase price, but more difficult to install leading to the necessity to use an outside contractor which increases the total cost of the valve. WaStop can be installed by in-house maintenance crews in most circumstances.
WaStop Pulsating Flow
2022-01-06Reducing maintenance requirements is an important feature of any product put into a storm or sewer system. Access is often difficult and can require confined space certification, or can be in areas where shoreline access is required. Having low maintenance requirements and a high reliability factor are key features of WaStop inline check valve. To ensure the product functions when required a pulsating mechanism has been engineered into the WaStop.
WaStop Backflow
2022-01-06Backflow in storm and sewer networks cause extensive damage to infrastructure in cities and towns in coastal areas or areas close to a water course affected by seasonal high water levels. Water can damage buildings, roads, gardens and parks, and can even be a health risk.
WaStop Headloss
2022-01-06WaStop has the lowest headloss amongst similar valves on the market. Low headloss decreases the risk of upstream flooding caused by resistance in the system. A pipe system operates on differential pressure. A higher upstream pressure relative to downstream, enables flow in the right direction. An increase in resistance increases the collection of water upstream. All systems contain losses due to resistance, but the aim is usually to minimize the losses to enable maximum flow through the system.
