Wapro AB has been in the storm and wastewater industry since 1988 and is known for their unique patented products for backflow flooding alleviation and flow control. Wapro specializes in innovative solutions for protecting people, property, and the environment. Wapro AB products are sold in over 20 countries worldwide through cooperation with specially selected sales partners. 2015 Wapro Inc was founded in USA to grow the North American market. Business in USA has grown substantially since initial market penetration in 2010 and growth is accelerating rapidly. Since acquiring RiaWatech in Denmark during 2020 Wapro Group has expanded its portfolio with gate valves, knife gates and flap valves.

To maintain growth Wapro Inc is now seeking an Territory Sales Manager based in New Jersey region who is dynamic, competitive and can thrive in a rapidly evolving business. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious expansion and revenue objectives by working closely with all parts of the sales chain. You will also have the opportunity to be a part of the growth of the company and the roll will adapt to the growth of the company.

THE ROLE

Your primary function will be to build the business in New Jersey by engaging end users (municipalities) and consulting engineers, understand the customers needs and add value for the customer.

This will be done through finding and booking meetings with consulting engineers and end users (Municipalities). You will be working directly with the customer and you’ll be expected to provide product information, suggest solutions for the customer based on our product range. You’ll also be providing pricing and delivery times and will help our customers solve their problems through the application of Wapro solutions.

You’ll have a close relationship with your colleagues in Connecticut, Florida, Texas, and South Carolina as well as the team in Sweden. You’ll be working from a home office but expected to be mobile making customer visits on average 4 days per week.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Outside sales - booking and conducting customer needs analysis through meetings with customers.
  • Expectation of 4 days of travel/week
  • Reach potential customers through cold calling both in person and via telephone
  • Follow up on sales for the purpose of value re-enforcement and continued sales
  • On-site work with customers to assess their needs
  • Providing quotes and technical information for the customer
  • Understanding customer needs and provide a solution by conducting a thorough needs analysis
  • Follow up quotations through to a sale
  • Live and breathe the ‘Wapro Way’
  • Manage and keep updated CRM (Zoho)
  • Keep management informed of all activity including opportunities and presentations to clients, communication of customer feedback on future developments, quoted, and booked sales.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building sales in territory to meet mutually set sales budget
  • Reach potential customers through cold calling both in person and via telephone
  • Expand customer base
  • Develop relationships, identify key players and generate interest for our solutions
  • Maintain and update CRM system
  • Follow up on sales for the purpose of value reinforcement and continued sales
  • Customer support and service in-line with our value proposition
  • Plan and execute industry tradeshows including some travel
  • Travel will be required in territory approx 4 days per week and domestically 1-2 times per year for group meetings/trade shows

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven outside value-added sales experience preferably in Wastewater/Stormwater industry
  • You must be a person who embraces change, hungry to learn and is willing to grow with an international company.
  • Valid drivers license
