The problem

Odour issues in housing complex.

The New Plymouth District Council has used the WaStop for flood control in numerous locations, with sizes ranging from 150mm to 1600mm. Unpleasant sewer smells had become an issue where a housing complex was discharging directly into a 600mm trunk sewer main.

Solution

WaStop^® Inline Check valve

The New Plymouth District Council installed an inline 150mm WaStop and the smell issues were instantly resolved. This had been on ongoing problem ever since the complex was built in 2012, and everyone involved was very pleased with the outcome.
