WaStop Access installed in Köping
Flooding in residential buildings.
In a residential area in Köping, the municipal network has had problems getting wastewater out of areas where the properties are located high on one side of the road and low on the other. This has resulted in recurring flooding for the villas located on the lower side of the road.
The solution
WaStop Access wells.
Köping Municipality has therefore decided to install a new sewage system in the area. The sewage will be led to pumping stations that in turn lift the water so that it can continue to flow despite the ground levels in the area. To give residents security and ensure that flooding does not occur, it has also chosen to install eleven Wapro Access inspection wells with WaStop check valves DN160 on the properties' sewage pipes. If any of the pumps in the pumping station should fail, WaStop ensures that the return flow of wastewater stops in the Access well and prevents the villas from being flooded.
Wapro Access is delivered complete with a flush well and check valve in one and is easy to maintain thanks to the fact that the check valve can be lifted from the ground surface. The Wastop check valve provides the best possible protection against return flow. Villa owners in Köping no longer have to worry about wastewater getting into their homes and destroying property and memories.
