WaBack installed to prevent flooding in apartment buildings
In Enskede, a residential building with approximately 70 apartments is being built that will be connected to the municipality's combined water supply network. Due to the risk of overload, the risk of backflow also increases.
The solution
To protect the residents of the property even before an unpleasant event occurs, it was therefore decided to install a DN200-600 WaBack backwater stop. Wastewater is often heavily contaminated and can cause simple check valves to fail. WaBack is designed to handle heavily contaminated water by always being open to flow. This minimizes the risk of blockages and requires minimal maintenance in the form of a visual inspection and the occasional flushing. WaBack has been installed for various flooding problems since 1988 and is a given solution. The chamber functions, both check valve and inspection well, are easily installed on the outlet pipe between the house and the main sewer line. When installed, WaBack provides peace of mind to all residents and protects against backflow to 100%.
