Flow control in Åhus

During the reconstruction of a new production facility, Vin & Sprit in Åhus, it was discovered that the surface water pipes had too little capacity to receive water from the new industrial area. To solve the problem and smooth out the flow, two concrete surface water reservoirs were built. To ensure precise and constant flow regulation from the reservoirs and eliminate the risk of predator loading or flooding, two WaReg flow regulators were installed in the outlets of the reservoirs.

The solution

In this project, two WaReg flow regulators were supplied, one pre-set to a flow rate of 25 l/s and the other to 75 l/s. This ensured that the flow from the reservoirs was accurate and constant, and that the risk of over-loading or flooding was eliminated. The result was a high-performance and reliable water management system that met the needs of the new production facility and ensured a consistent and sustainable water supply.
