WaReg protects the village from flooding

A WaReg flow regulator was installed to regulate the flow out of the waterworks. WaReg releases water at a maximum rate of 5 l/s, which is what the pipes can handle without being at risk of basement flooding. When the flow exceeds the 5 l/s rate, WaReg regulates the flow and the excess water is retained in a dampening pipe system. This allows the treatment plant to carry out its regular cleaning and gives homeowners in the area peace of mind, knowing that they will no longer be affected by basement flooding.
