Family in Sjöbo gets rid of smelly hydrogen sulfide
When one of the municipality's sewage pumping stations starts, a sulfur smell is released into a connection pipe. The sulfur smell continues into a service pipe and further up into a residential building. The family living in the house experienced the odor every time the sewage pumping station started.
The solution
We installed a WaStop in an existing well between the house and the pipe from which the sulfur smell came. The WaStop is completely sealed against odor and backflow. Today, the sulfur smell does not reach the house but stays in the pipe downstream of the WaStop.
The family living in the house is satisfied and the municipality has solved the problem.
